• Implausible as this one may seem, it's actually one of the written-from-life ones: I wrote it after two of our own deacons at YBC (one of them being my dad) both broke their arms during football games.
• I've given up playing football, on the grounds that it's bad for you.  Not that I ever played much anyway.
