• Alright, so it wasn't something quite as trivial as the colour of the paper towels, but I have had to endure Church Members' Meetings where small things were debated ad nauseam, and I now fill with dread almost reflexively when a Members' Meeting is announced.  If you've read many Grace and Caffeine episodes, you'll probably notice that this is one of the recurring themes of the series.
• On a more fictional note: I think Jake's question could be taken as implying that he's been a Christian (or at least a church member) for a relatively short time, although I didn't make this idea a definite factor in my writing.
