Alright, I exaggerated.  There were no cockroaches under our display stand.
The development sketch for this episode shows my attempts to work out how to draw Fred preparing to swat one of the insects - it's not always that easy to make stick-figures do things, you know.

Of course, sometimes I've been that Last One, so I've seen this scenario from both sides plenty of times.

I've heard rumours that some people actually like the cold (if you're in that group, don't worry - I know a good psychiatrist or two), but I really can't be doing with it.  I have no built-in insulation, and I regard anything below 20 Celsius as life-threatening.
This episode must have been written in one of those really nice years where it actually starts feeling warmish in March - unlike 2008 or 2009, where it stayed dismal up to about July.

Me, defending the old jargon?  Yes, for once - although if you read on, you'll find I'm usually more at home trying to dismantle western Christianity's more over-used figures of speech.
Meanwhile in the colour version, the bright-green church mugs make their first appearance.  I can't remember why I decided to make them such a stunning colour, but it stuck.
