The Dyson re-appears.  The unplugged-vacuum-cleaner thing was a reference to the live-action short film Inanimate which I made in March 2006, featuring a guy trying to use a vacuum cleaner and getting increasingly angry because it won't work... only to discover at the end that he hasn't plugged it in.
Craig turns up again, too.

I know the revised words don't quite fit the meter.  But they do make more of a point than the original ones.
The fiftieth instalment of a comic strip is (at least to me) a sort of coming-of-age moment for the project, so it seemed appropriate that the occasion should be marked by gathering nearly all of the cast together in a single panel and having them singing.  How convenient that it should fall on the day before Christmas Eve.
